I’m Mina Rani, an Empowerment Artist crafting emotionally rich music that fuses contemporary pop production with the intricate beauty of South Asian instruments; sitar, tabla, bansuri, into a bold, expressive fusion. Raised in a first-generation British-Asian household in Wolverhampton where art was deemed an improbable dream, I turned to music in my early twenties as a form of self-liberation, healing, and unfiltered truth, channeling my roots into every note.
My music is more than entertainment; it’s a release. Each melody is a reckoning, every silence a choice, evolving from a city that echoes with creative legacy. I add a bold new chapter with gritty, rebellious intensity to introspective, emotionally raw expression that is as vulnerable as it is defiant. Working with emerging producers, I create evocative compositions that span original anthems and reimagined covers, unified by an emotional lens that resonates deeply.
As one of the few British-Asian artists blending this unique sound, I bring a rare and necessary voice to the global music scene, lifting all with special love for Asian women in the UK through #RiseTogether. My debut single, set for July 18, 2025, is a soul-baring pop anthem woven with Indian textures and emotive vocals that balance vulnerability and strength, marking the start of a journey toward my album in December, 2025. My sound evolves, sometimes intimate and infectious, with occasional tracks exploring Punjabi/Bhangra-inspired grooves blended with alt-pop energy; a fusion where heart meets rhythm, and every note moves with purpose.
Through my community, Unseen to Unstoppable, I share motivational stories and resources, celebrating the resilience of Asian women while inviting everyone to join this rise.
